Faculty Initiated Course Drops  

 

An instructor may request that the course department chair drop a student from course registration due to non-attendance or violation of standards as stated in the course syllabus, with the approval of the student's department chair.  The Course department chair will inform the student in writing citing the reason.  When a student is dropped from a course according to this procedure, a grade of "W" will be assigned. 

Faculty should get a Course Drop Form - Instructor Initiated from their department chairs.
