The TI-GRAPH LINK program for Windows is a Windows-based integrated communication link and data manager for the PC. You can use TI-GRAPH LINK for Windows to:
This tutorial is designed for
Running the TI-GRAPH LINK program will open the window below.
File and Edit
Like most Window programs, the File and Edit Menu Commands allow
standard file editing, formatting and printing options.

Send and Receive
The Send and Receive gives you the option to send
and receive TI-92 program or group files between the TI-92 and
the computer. When you choose the Send menu, the screen below
will open.
This window can be used you to find the directory on the computer
where the TI-92 group files (*.92g) and/or program files (*.92p)
are located and select these files to be transferred to the calculator.
When you double click on a file, it will be placed in the Files
Selected window. You may select all or individual files.
If an unwanted files is selected there is a remove option. If
you would like to place the program in a specified folder in the
TI-92, delete the check next to Retain Folder. To transfer
the file, click OK.
After you select OK, the program will read the TI-92 calculator
and display the folder configuration. You can select a folder
and transfer the file(s).
I would not recommended deleting the check next to the Retain
Folder when transferring group files because some group files
create their own folders.
The Receive menu option works in much the same way as the
Send option except the program reads the TI-92 folder directory
first.
The To Group option can be used to group programs into
one file for easy transferability. Get Backup and Send Backup
The Get Backup option will back up the entire TI-92 memory
to one file with the extension .92B.
The Send Backup option will restore previously saves memory to
the TI-92. Get Screen
The get screen option allows you to past the calculator screen
to the computer clipboard.
Com Port
Communication ports are use to transfer files between the calculator
and the computer. If you are using a Com Port 1 for a printer,
select Com Port 2.
Tools
Group and Ungroup TI-92 files
These two menu options allow you to group and ungroup files.
I recommend that you do not ungroup files before you transfer
them because they will ungroup automatically. If you write a
program that calls a lot of program subroutines, it is recommended
that you group the files. UUEncode and UUEdecode
The UUE options are used to transfer files from/to an 8 bit (ASCII)
code to/from the TI-92 format. Most files that are available
over the internet are UUE coded.
Import and Export
These options allow you to import or export ASCII data. For example,
if you would like to transfer TI-92 table data to a spreadsheet
like Excel, you would use this command.
CBL and Window
These two menu options are primarily used for creating TI-92 Basic
programs. The CBL (Calculator Based Laboratory) menu option lists
commonly used CBL commands for programs. |
