      The Department of Mathematics and Physics offers a variety of courses in pre-algebra, algebra, trigonometry, statistics, mathematics of finance, calculus, differential equations, advanced math for engineering technology, astronomy, pre-physics, general physics, college physics, university physics, modern physics and physical science.

      Physics and physical science courses develop within the student an understanding of physical principles and an appreciation of the natural environment. In addition to this general goal, the physics courses encourage and develop the student's competence in the use of logical procedures in problem-solving.


Physics Lab

      The department faculty also serve as advisors for all students majoring in the areas of mathematics and/or science and for those in the pre-environmental science and forestry curriculum. The department curricula are
