Informe: Provides coverage of Spanish language periodicals in many fields.  Full text.

Internet & Personal Computing Abstracts: The largest online database of information about personal computers.

Issues and Controversies:  This database, which is part of the Facts on File FACTS.com suite, provides information on controversial topics covering more than 70 issues each year.  Statistical information is also available, as well as content from other Facts.com databases. Most are full text.

Lexis-Nexis Academic Universe: Consists of more than 40 separate databases; almost all are full text. Covers the following categories:  News Sources, Business Sources, Legal Research, Medical Information, and Reference Sources. 

Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts: (LISTA) indexes more than 600 periodicals, plus books, research reports and proceedings.  Coverage extends back to the mid-1960s.

Literature Resource Center-LRC: Provides access to biographies, bibliographies and critical analysis of authors. Full text.

MasterFile Premier: Multidisciplinary database provides full text for more than 1,700 general reference publications.

MasterFileSelect: Provides access to more than 770 full text periodicals in all fields plus abstracting and/or indexing for more than 2,600 more.

MEDLINE: Indexes journals published all over the world, which cover all areas of medicine.

Military & Government Collection:  Full-text material from periodicals, academic journals and other content pertinent to all branches of the military and government.

National Newspaper Index: Provides indexing and abstracting of America’s top five newspapers: New York Times (including the Book Review and Magazine sections), Christian Science Monitor, Los Angeles Times, Washington Post and Wall Street Journal.

netLibrary: A collection of more than 4,500 books available online in electronic format.  Books are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

New York State Newspapers: A database of newspapers published in NYS, including those from Binghamton, Buffalo, Elmira, Ithaca, NYC, Rochester, Syracuse and Westchester County.  National newspapers are also included. Full text.

Newsbank: Full text to about 10 regional NYS newspapers, as well as 6 national ones.

Opposing Viewpoints: Includes viewpoint articles, overviews, statistics, primary documents, links to websites and periodical and newspaper articles on controversial topics. Most are full text

PAIS International: Information on all aspects of public affairs.

PapersFirst: An index of papers included in every conference, exposition, workshop, symposium and meeting received at The British Library.

Pre-CINAHL: Companion to CINAHL; intended to provide current awareness of new journal articles, and includes a rotating file of limited bibliographic information, which are available to searchers only for the time when these articles are being assigned additional indexing.

Proceedings: Provides citations of every congress, symposium, conference, exposition workshop and meeting received at The British Library.

Professional Development Collection: Most comprehensive collection of full text education journals in the world.  Includes nearly 550 education journals, including 350 peer-reviewed titles. 

ProQuest Direct: Consists of four separate databases, some with sub-sets.  Many of the articles are available full text:

  • ABI/INFORM Global: A business and management database providing national and international coverage of all fields relating to business, including profiles of 60,000 companies.  Many full text.

Twayne’s Author Series: features the content of almost 600 books on US Authors, English Authors and World Authors.  Includes literary criticism and interpretation. Full text.

UnionLists:  Provides holdings information for journals found in OCLC member libraries.

WilsonSelectPlus: Indexes, abstracts and ASCII text for about 1,300 periodicals. Full text.

WorldCat: Contains more than 54 million records for all types of materials-—manuscripts, books, machine readable files, audiovisual materials, musical scores, etc.
