The Incentive Point System

A few facts about Incentive Points (IP).

· Organizations are responsible to report events and activities in support of other groups to the Director of Campus Life.
· A chart detailing attainment under IP is posted in the Receptionist office, Orvis Activities Center.
· Organizations must report discrepancies prior to award dates.  Inequities reported after-the-fact will not be considered.

The Reserves:

30% of an organizations allocation is subject to reserve as outline herein:
· 10% headcount reserve, released at the discretion of the Finance Committee and Executive Board sometime following the spring census date.
· 10% fall incentive reserve, based upon organization participation in Senate-related activities.  These funds are released in the 12th week of the fall semester and are immediately available for late fall and spring activities and programming.
· 10% spring incentive reserve, based upon organization participation in Senate-related activities. These funds are released at the mid-point of the spring semester and are immediately available for spring activities and programming.

Examples of Points Eligible Activities:
“Column A” Activities – for attainment of funding and determination of reallocation eligibility

· Attendance at a Campus-Wide Meeting -2.pts.
· Report of club activities at the campus-wide, accompanied by written report for campus media - 1pt.
· Participation in Activities Fair event and other start-up and recruiting activities (points per event) - 1-3pts.
· Participation in the Senate Fall Leadership Retreat - 10pts to 5pts
· Submission/Updates to Executive Profile - 2pts
· 
Participation in Leadership Achievement Program - 1pt.

“Column B” Activities – actions for the good of the campus
Other activities will be determined through brainstorming.  Organizations attaining 75% of possible “Column A” points will receive 100% of the semester incentive.  Organizations attaining 50% “Column A” compliance will receive 50% of the semester incentive.  Undistributed funds will be allocated for special projects of the Senate or qualifying organizations.
·Participation on Senate-related Service Assignment - 1pt.
· Report of activities to Master Activities Calendar - 2pts.
· Service to Campus--Wide Recruitment initiatives - 1pt.
· Staging of a major Opening Week Activity - 1-2pts
·Significant support function at Opening Week Activity - 1-2pts
· Significant entrepreneurial or programming endeavor
- 2pt.

· Participation in Campus-Wide Celebrations - 1-3pts.
· Participation with campus media - 1-2pts.
· Campus-Wide Forum participationr - 1pt.
· Community Service (pre-approved) - 1-3pts.
