The Weather & Cancellation |

The Weather! |
|
By state law and SUNY policy, only the governor of the State of New York has the authority to “close” the state university.
Locally, the A.S.C. President or his/her designee has the authority to suspend classes and will do so in the consultation with local and civil authorities when weather conditions are not conducive to safe travel.
Unfortunately, no matter how effectively the College shares the word to the local media, the word doesn’t always get out! Sometimes, the decision rests with the student. “Can I afford to be absent today even if classes aren’t cancelled?” “How many absences do I have?”
A word of wisdom, conserve those cuts!! Be here as much as you can. It’s what you are paying for, anyway!! |
