Did you know that there is a student organization on campus whose specific responsibility is to enhance the commuter experience? Well there is… “ It’s the Commuter Council. For more info, meeting times, etc..., click here. This group, composed of non-resident students of all ages, meets bi-weekly to provide periodic feedback to the College on issues that confront their membership. Everything form parking to computer lab access to study lounges and scheduling is fair game for the Commuter Council. In addition, they plan fun activities for commuters and their families to enhance their sense of commUnity. The Commuter Council meets in the Allegany Room, Central Dining Hall, at varying times, every other Thursday. Get involved. Join the Commuter Council. Your campus voice! The council is funded by the Student Senate of Alfred State College from funds derived from mandatory student activities fees. A new Commuter Council office is open in Burdick Hall.
